Guide: Where every jewel comes from (drop rates, bosses, invasions) - Buffy - 10-01-2026
Where every jewel comes from (and what they're worth farming for)
Short version: jewels are the backbone of progression here — you need them for the Chaos machine (wings, +10..+15, bundles), and gear is grind-only by design, so knowing the faucets matters. Here's the complete map.
Drop rates (what actually drops from mobs)- Jewel of Chaos — 0.50% per kill, monsters level 12+
- Jewel of Bless — 0.50% per kill, monsters level 25+
- Jewel of Soul — 0.50% per kill, monsters level 25+
- Jewel of Life — 0.25% per kill, monsters level 46+
- Jewel of Creation — 0.25% per kill, monsters level 46+
- Jewel of Guardian — 0.08% per kill, monsters level 60+
- Jewel of Harmony — 0.08% per kill, monsters level 60+
Add it up and it's roughly one jewel every ~45 kills — with a normal solo farm of 300-500 kills an hour, that's 7-11 jewels/hour (Bless/Soul/Chaos common, Life/Creation half that, Guardian/Harmony rare). Chaos used to be 5x that and it flooded the market, so it was brought back down — don't farm Chaos expecting old rates.
The other sources, ranked
- Golden Invasion — the best scheduled source. The golden mobs' loot tables are jewel-heavy. When the invasion call goes out, drop what you're doing.
- Bosses — Kundun, Erohim, Selupan and Medusa drop classic upgrade jewels every kill on top of their custom loot. Nightmare is a gear boss (tiny jewel trickle), the other four are the jewel bosses.
- Quest World — one-time quest rewards pay Bless/Soul/Life/Chaos. If you're leveling fresh, do the quests: it's a free starter stake.
- Gold / Silver Chests — the sealed boxes are the only farmable source of the special jewels (Jewel of Level, Skill, Luck, Additional, Excellent, Socket...). If you see one drop, it's not vendor trash.
- Moss the Merchant — the zen gamble: sells mystery tickets that turn into jewels or jewelry cases. The zen-to-jewel valve if you're rich in zen and poor in luck.
- XShop (NPC 617, Lorencia) — sells Bundled Jewels x10 at a discount vs singles. WCoins are earnable in-game (see below), so this is the convenience path, not a paywall.
What jewels are for (the sinks)- Chaos machine mixes: Chaos + Bless + Soul feed wings, higher bundles and the custom mixes
- Upgrading gear past +9 needs Guardian and the Harmony options — both farmable now, both were cash-only before
- Jewel of Life adds options to lucky items
- /pack 1 and /unpack 1 bundle/unbundle jewels x10 so they stop eating inventory space
Rule of thumb the staff balance by: jewels come from the grind (drops, bosses, invasions, quests) — never from NPC shops for zen. If Bless/Soul prices spike, it means an invasion didn't run; not a shop problem.
