AfterMU — Trial-Week Feedback Round Complete
Hey everyone,

Quick ship report — everything from the trial-week feedback round is now live on the server, verified in-game.
Here's what changed:

Daily Reward — fixed end to end
This one took real digging. The server wasn't reading the reward table we thought it was, and the old table also demanded large empty stretches of inventory before it would hand anything over.
Both problems are now fixed.
All 31 days now grant a real reward — days 20–31 previously gave nothing at all. Every reward fits into a single inventory cell, and claims work with a normal, busy inventory.
Log in, claim, done.

The classic maps are full again
Dungeon, Devias, Lost Tower, Atlans, Tarkan, Icarus, Aida, Crywolf, Kanturu 1+2, Elbeland, Swamp of Calmness, Raklion and Karutan 1+2 all received proper roaming monster spots.
Total spawns are up approximately 80%, spread over real ground instead of being bunched into corners.
The first reset should no longer be the hardest one.

WCoins for playing
Every Reset pays +10 WC.
Every Grand Reset pays +50 WC.
Grand Reset requires 50 resets. Your level stays at 400, you receive +400 points, and the skill tree is wiped. Full details are available in the guide.
Daily Rewards also provide WC and Zen.
WCoins can be used to purchase VIP in-game using the End key.

Starter skills are back in shops
Fresh characters can once again purchase their first skills.
Pasi — Lorencia

 • Twisting Slash — DK/MG
 • Evil Spirit — DW/MG
Silvia — Elbeland
 • Chain Lightning — SU
 • FireBurst — DL
 • Chain Driver — RF
Elves learn Triple Shot on their own.

Drops rebalanced
The Jewel of Chaos flood is fixed. It was tuned 5× too high — our mistake, reverted.
Normal monsters now also drop Bless / Soul / Life in level-appropriate bands.

Updated guides
You can find the full guides here:
https://aftermu.com/guides.html
The guides now cover:
 • Resets & Grand Reset
 • Earning WCoins
 • Jewel system (+15 cap, 100% success)
 • Full invasion & boss timetable
 • Golden Invasion — 6 times daily
 • Pets & Pet Trainers
 • David's location — Elbeland 49,220
 • Castle Siege
 • Useful chat commands

⚔️ Castle Siege is open
Castle Siege registration is working again.

Battle night: Monday at 20:00 server time.

Guilds can register with the Gatekeeper in Loren Deep during the registration phase.
The winning guild takes the castle, the taxes, and access to the Land of Trials.

AfterMU Launcher v1.2.1
If you haven't updated yet, open the AfterMU Launcher and hit Check for updates.
v1.2.1 includes:
 • True 1080p fullscreen
 • Crash-free alt-tab

Massive thanks to Martins, Baltais, Matador, SecretHE and CaBleNuTiX for the trial-week reports that drove this entire round of fixes and improvements.
Keep the feedback coming — it works.
See you in Loren.

AfterMU Launcher v1.2.1 — true fullscreen is here

The fullscreen fix is live. Pick a resolution in the launcher's Graphics dropdown and press PLAY: the game now boots into a proper native 1920×1080 borderless fullscreen stretched to your whole monitor — no borders, no tiny window in the corner. Nine widescreen modes are available, from 640×480 up to 1920×1080 (the last entry, marked [mode 8]).

Alt-tabbing out and back is finally crash-free — the old exclusive-fullscreen crash is gone for good.

How to get it: open the AfterMU launcher and click Check for updates. It downloads v1.2.1, swaps itself in and relaunches automatically — no reinstall needed, and the game keeps working in the meantime. The Forum link in the launcher now points to the right place, too.

AfterMU — Client Update & Suggestions Wanted
Posted by: Rattles - 09-23-2026, 01:21 AM - Forum: Server News & Updates - No Replies

We've made a few changes to the client and some of the server shop setup, and we're looking for player feedback while we continue tuning AfterMU.

Client Update

A new client build is available with the following changes:

 • New client download link
 • WCoin Shop translations corrected from Spanish to English
 • Filter.bmd made less restrictive to reduce false positives / unnecessary filtering

Download the updated client:
https://aftermu.com/download.php

If you're currently using the previous client, please download the updated version.

What We're Looking For

We're especially interested in suggestions around the economy and shops.

WCoin Shops

What would you actually like to see available in the WCoin shop(s)?
We're aiming for a setup where WCoin provides useful extras without making normal gameplay feel pointless.

NPC Shops
What would you like to see in the regular NPC shops?

We're looking for suggestions that make sense for a balanced setup — useful items, consumables, equipment, or anything else you think players should reasonably be able to purchase through normal gameplay.
Balance & Problems

If you're currently playing AfterMU and have run into something that feels:
 • Too difficult or too easy
 • Too expensive or too cheap
 • Too restrictive
 • Unnecessary or annoying
 • Missing entirely
 • Otherwise out of balance

Tell us about it.

Even if you're not sure what the solution should be, let us know what you're running into. We'd rather hear about a problem from players than assume everything is fine.
You can post suggestions and feedback here in here on the forum or Discord
.
AfterMU is still being tuned, so this is exactly the kind of feedback we're looking for.

Getting Started — MU Online Season 6 Player Guide
Posted by: Rattles - 09-18-2026, 03:58 PM - Forum: Guides & Tutorials - No Replies

Welcome to MU Online! Whether you're completely new or returning after years away, Season 6 has plenty to explore.
This guide covers the basics: choosing a class, levelling, stats, equipment, jewels, parties, and the classic events you'll run into along the way.
One thing to remember: Private servers can change rates, drops, level requirements, event schedules, and game systems. Always check the rules and information for the server you're playing on.

1. Choosing Your First Character
Season 6 features seven playable classes. Each has its own skills, strengths, and ways to play.
Dark Knight (DK)
A melee fighter who uses swords and other close-range weapons. A straightforward choice if you enjoy getting up close and dealing physical damage.
Dark Wizard (DW)
A magic-based class with powerful spells and area attacks. Often a popular choice for players who enjoy attacking groups of monsters from a distance.
Fairy Elf (Elf)
A versatile class that can focus on physical damage, agility, or supporting other players with buffs and healing.
Magic Gladiator (MG)
A hybrid class combining aspects of the Dark Knight and Dark Wizard. Its available equipment and builds make it a different experience from the original classes.
Dark Lord (DL)
A class with distinctive skills, command-related stats, and access to special equipment and pets.
Summoner
A magic-focused class with curses and debuffs alongside offensive skills. Its exact availability and balance can depend on the server's Season 6 build.
Rage Fighter (RF)
A close-combat class with powerful physical attacks and a distinctive fighting style.
Tip: Don't worry about finding the "perfect" class immediately. Pick one that looks fun, learn how it works, and experiment as you go.

2. Understanding Your Stats
Your character's stats affect damage, survivability, equipment requirements, and sometimes skill performance.
Strength — Physical damage and equipment requirements for many classes.
Agility — Attack speed, defensive stats, and class-specific damage.
Vitality — Maximum HP and survivability.
Energy — Magic damage, buffs, and other class-specific effects.
Command — Used by Dark Lord for class-specific abilities and requirements.
The exact effects and ideal stat distribution vary by class and server configuration.
A few useful tips:
• Check the requirements of equipment before spending your points.
• Don't put every available point into damage if you can't survive the monsters you're fighting.
• Learn what your main skills scale with.
• Check whether your server has stat resets, respecs, or reset-based progression before committing to a build.
There is no single stat build that works perfectly on every Season 6 server.

3. Your First Levels
Early progression is about learning the game, finding equipment, and getting comfortable with your character.
Getting started:
 1. Start in your character's initial town.
 2. Check the NPCs for shops, equipment, potions, and other useful supplies.
 3. Hunt monsters around your level.
 4. Pick up useful equipment, Zen, and items.
 5. Move to stronger monsters as your damage and survivability improve.
Classic hunting maps
Some familiar maps you'll encounter include:
• Lorencia
• Noria
• Devias
• Dungeon
• Lost Tower
• Atlans
• Tarkan
• Icarus
These are examples of classic progression areas, not a universal levelling route. Warp requirements, monster strength, and map access can differ between servers.
Don't rush into a map just because someone else is hunting there. If monsters are killing you faster than you can kill them, try a safer spot or improve your equipment first.

4. Parties and Playing Together
MU Online has always had a strong multiplayer side, and parties can make levelling more enjoyable.
A party lets players hunt together and support one another. Different classes can bring damage, buffs, and other useful abilities.
A few things to keep in mind:
• Look for players around your level or progression stage.
• Ask about party EXP and any server-specific party rules.
• Coordinate buffs and skills where possible.
• Agree on loot expectations before hunting together.
• Consider joining a guild if you want regular people to play with.
A good party can make a long grind feel a lot less like a second job.

5. MU Helper and AFK Hunting
Season 6 includes MU Helper, an in-game assistance system available on supported configurations.
Depending on the server and client, it can help automate parts of your hunting routine, such as attacking nearby monsters and picking up selected items.
Before leaving your character hunting:
• Configure the skills you want to use.
• Check your potion settings.
• Review your pickup filters.
• Make sure you're hunting somewhere your character can survive.
• Check the server's AFK and automation rules.
Important: MU Helper settings and permitted automation can vary. Don't assume every private server allows the same behaviour.

6. Equipment and Upgrading
Equipment becomes increasingly important as you progress.
You'll encounter different item types and quality levels, including:
• Normal equipment
• Excellent items
• Ancient sets
• Wings
• Pets and mounts
• Socket equipment and other advanced systems, depending on the server
Upgrading basics
MU Online uses jewels and the Chaos Machine for various item upgrades and combinations.
Common jewels include:
• Jewel of Bless — Used in certain item upgrade processes.
• Jewel of Soul — Used in upgrades and other combinations.
• Jewel of Chaos — Used in many Chaos Machine combinations.
• Jewel of Life — Used for certain item option upgrades.
• Jewel of Creation — Used in specific combinations and systems.
• Jewel of Harmony — Used for additional item options.
The exact recipes, success rates, restrictions, and available systems depend on the game version and server configuration.
Beginner advice:
• Read the combination requirements before using rare materials.
• Check upgrade success rates and possible failure outcomes.
• Don't assume every item can be upgraded in the same way.
• Ask before spending valuable jewels if you're unsure.
• Learn the difference between an item's level, options, and equipment requirements.
A little research can save you a lot of Zen and jewels.

7. Classic Events Worth Learning
Season 6 includes several well-known events. They provide different objectives and can offer experience, items, or other rewards.
Blood Castle
A timed team event built around fighting through the castle and completing its objective.
Players typically need an appropriate entry item and must enter the correct level bracket. The objective and reward details should be checked for your server.
Devil Square
A monster-hunting event where players fight waves of enemies in an enclosed arena.
It's a good opportunity to practise your damage output and survivability while competing for event rewards.
Chaos Castle
A survival-style event where players fight in an arena and try to be the last character standing.
Be prepared for chaotic fights — and remember that the arena itself can be dangerous.
Illusion Temple
A team-based event involving objectives and competition between opposing sides. The exact rules and availability depend on the server.
Castle Siege
A large-scale guild battle focused on control of the castle.
Castle Siege is generally more involved than the smaller events: guild coordination, registration, preparation, and understanding the server's rules all matter.
Event schedules, entry requirements, rewards, and mechanics can differ between servers. Check the server's event information before preparing tickets or making plans.

8. Resets and Long-Term Progression
Some Season 6 private servers use a reset system once a character reaches a particular level.
A reset may return your character to a lower level while granting reset points or other progression benefits. Other servers may use different rules or have no resets at all.
Before resetting, find out:
• What level is required?
• Do you lose your current stats or equipment?
• Do you receive points or other rewards?
• Does your character keep items?
• Is there a reset cost?
• Are there limits or additional reset tiers?
Never assume that two servers use the same reset rules.

9. Zen, Trading, and the Player Economy
Zen is one of the game's basic currencies. You'll use it for various NPC services and other in-game activities.
As you progress, you'll also encounter player trading and server-specific currencies or storage systems.
A few common-sense tips:
• Check market prices before selling valuable items.
• Be careful when trading rare equipment or jewels.
• Confirm the item and amount before accepting a trade.
• Don't share your account credentials with anyone.
• Check the server's rules regarding trading, scams, and real-money transactions.
The value of items can change dramatically depending on the server's rates, population, and economy.

10. Common Beginner Mistakes
A few things that can make your early experience harder than it needs to be:
• Spending stat points without understanding your build.
• Hunting in areas where you can't survive.
• Using rare jewels without checking the recipe.
• Ignoring equipment requirements.
• Forgetting to configure potions and MU Helper.
• Assuming another server's guide applies exactly to yours.
• Trading valuable items without checking the details.
• Resetting without understanding what will happen.
Take your time, ask questions, and learn the systems as you go.

11. A Simple Beginner Checklist
Use this as a starting point when joining a new Season 6 server.
• Read the server's rules and feature list.
• Choose a class that interests you.
• Learn your main skills and stat requirements.
• Find a safe hunting spot.
• Check your equipment and potion setup.
• Learn how MU Helper works on that server.
• Find out whether parties provide useful benefits.
• Check the event schedule and entry requirements.
• Learn the server's upgrade and reset rules.
• Meet other players and have some fun!

Final Thoughts
MU Online is a grind, but it doesn't have to be a solo grind.
Learn your class, explore the maps, make some friends, and don't be afraid to ask questions. Every server has its own quirks, so treat the information here as a foundation and check the details wherever you're playing.

Welcome to MU Online — see you in Lorencia!

What was your first MU Online server?
Posted by: Rattles - 09-18-2026, 01:51 PM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

What was your first MU Online server?

Let's take a trip down memory lane. ?

What was the first MU Online server you ever played on?

Mine was Alchemy MU — a low-rate server. That's actually where Plankt0n and I crossed paths back in the day, around the time it eventually collapsed.

What about you guys?

 • What was the server called?
 • Was it low-rate, high-rate, or something in between?
 • Do you still remember your character, guild, or any of the people you played with?

Let's hear those old-school MU stories! ?

  AfterMU | S6:EP20 | x500 EXP | 60% Drop | We're Opening The Damn Thing
Posted by: Rattles - 09-18-2026, 09:07 AM - Forum: Server Advertisements - No Replies

AFTERMU — TRIAL WEEK

MU, After All.

AfterMU is almost ready, and instead of pretending everything is perfect, we're going to do the sensible thing:

We're opening the damn thing and seeing what breaks.

? TRIAL WEEK

For one week, AfterMU will be open for everyone to jump in, play, grind, explore, PvP, make guilds, break things, and hopefully tell us when something doesn't work the way it should.

This is a real playable server, but it is still a trial.

Progress WILL be wiped after the trial week.

That's not a surprise or a gotcha. We're telling you up front.

Characters, items, guilds, Zen, WCoin — everything goes.

That's the entire point of the trial.

⚔️ WHAT'S WAITING FOR YOU?
 • EXP ×500
 • Item Drop 60%
 • Zen 100%
 • Level cap 400
 • Unlimited resets
 • Castle Siege
 • Blood Castle
 • Devil Square
 • Chaos Castle
 • World bosses and missions
 • Daily rewards
 • Jewel Bank

And a whole lot of MU Online stuff I've probably forgotten to list here. Tongue

No pay-to-win bullshit. No mandatory launcher.

One account for the website and the game.

? GET STARTED

Website:

Register:
https://aftermu.com/index.html#register

Download Client:
https://aftermu.com/index.html#download

Discord:
https://discord.gg/xcPsWN6HDk

We also have an optional launcher for resolution settings, patching and fixing the client if you manage to break your resolution.

Seriously — don't change the resolution in-game. It'll crash the client.

If you do it anyway, the launcher has a built-in fix/patcher to get you back up and running. Tongue

? AND THEN WE WIPE IT...

Once the Trial Week is over, we'll take what we've learned, fix the bugs, adjust anything that needs adjusting, and wipe the server.

Then we do it properly.

? CASTLE SIEGE WEEK

After the reset, everyone gets a fresh start.

You'll have time to level, gear up, collect your shit, create guilds and get organized.

Then we're kicking off a full Castle Siege week.

Build your guild. Get your people together. Take the castle.

And yes, there will be a WCoin reward for the winning guild(s).

The exact prize will be announced before the siege.

? THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN

Find a bug? Tell us.

Something feels broken? Tell us.

Something is stupidly overpowered? Definitely tell us.

Think the drop rate sucks? Tell us.

Think something is awesome? You can tell us that too. We won't judge. Tongue

The goal of Trial Week isn't to prove that AfterMU is perfect.

It's to find out what the hell we missed.

When does Trial Week start?

If you're reading this, it already has. Tongue

Welcome to AfterMU.

See you in Lorencia.

We've got sections for Development, Releases, Server Advertisements, Support & Help, Guides & Tutorials, and General Discussion, along with a dedicated AfterMU community for server news, support, trading, guilds, bugs, suggestions, and more.

The forum is brand new, so obviously it's a little empty right now. That's where you come in.
